When I first saw this, it just cracked me up. I’ve totally had days like this. Then I got to thinking a bit more deeply about what it says…
You know, some days I wake up feeling like maybe I could rule the world…if I wanted to…
Other days, however, it really is a struggle just to get up and moving. Sometimes that’s because something serious like anxiety or depression (both?) sunk their claws into my spirit. Or maybe I’m simply tired from a crazy week of raising (and homeschooling) three children. And some days, I might just feel lazy.
Whatever the reason may be, I’m learning to feel just as victorious about my little accomplishments on rough days as I do about my big accomplishments on spectacular days.
It’s all about perspective…
When we are having an awesome day, we certainly should be more productive and end the day knowing we got a ton of things checked off our list. But when we have one of those tough days, or even a tough week/month/year, it’s important to know that every little accomplishment still means something. It may even mean more than our big accomplishments because we had to work so much harder to get it done.
Perspective…it’s all in the way we look at life. If you ruled the world today, awesome! Go, you!! But if you simply managed to get out of bed today, that’s awesome too. It’s all in the way you look at it.
It’s the little things!
