Many of you know I am a writer. My first book is on Amazon, and at the end of June the sequel should be available.
I also wanted to let you know I have some ongoing projects in the works on Wattpad. I enjoy working on other things when I need a break from my main project. Wattpad allows me to interact with other writers and start new conversations.
I’d love for you to check out my page on Wattpad if you are so inclined. Also, if you are a writer with work on another platform such as Wattpad, drop a comment below. I’m always willing to support my fellow writers, and I promise to check out what you have going on!
On Wattpad, it’s not set up like a blog. I suppose someone could use it that way, but from what I’ve seen, most everyone uses it to write books. It doesn’t have the website feel WordPress has.
Wattpad isn’t necessary, but there are things I like about it. It’s free and it’s easy to use. There are people on Wattpad I don’t see anywhere else. We interact and comment on each other’s work, offer constructive criticism etc. So it’s opportunity to build another following of readers.
Also there are contests. There is an opportunity to be chosen to have your work sponsored, where you earn a certain amount each time someone reads your work. I’ve even heard of people having their work picked up by a publisher because it was a top read on Wattpad.
The downside is there are a lot of writers on there and not every writer is necessarily serious. There’s definitely some poor writing to be found, but I think that’s true for any writing platform. I’ve found some truly awesome stories to read on there. Stories that are free and give me the opportunity to chat with the author about their work. I enjoy talking with other writers so it’s fun for me.
Well thank you for checking it out! I appreciate it! I just write what pops in my head, lol. The entire prologue of The Demon Tower came from a dream I had a few years ago. Inspiration comes from the weirdest places. 😂😂😂
I won’t bother you with stories, but if I were to write about my dreams, they’d be fantasy pretty much, a little militant, a bit 😳😳😳 and the Loch Ness monster would have occasional casting..
How do you compare WordPress with Wattpad? What are the pros & cons as a writer?

You have a pretty awesome gift for writing! I’m not much of a fantasy kind of guy but I can say that everything seemed well written and professional!

You’re the second person today to tell me you’ve written something from a dream…
