A First For My First

Raising a child is in itself a challenge. There are so many things to consider; although there are plenty of joys, there are also many fears, many doubts…

Raising a child with Autism presents another level of challenges, and with those challenges come new fears and anxieties to fret over…

Despite all of that, I wouldn’t change a thing about my Sarah. I love her just the way she is. And yet, I have worried about so many things when it comes to her future. I want her to have the best life, so of course there are times when I worry how to go about helping her achieve the very best.

Today my firstborn, my baby, had her very first job interview and accepted her first job! I was so impressed by the management who interviewed her. They strive to help kids like Sarah learn how to function in the workplace so they can learn how to provide for themselves. I was proud of Sarah for having the courage to face a new challenge head on even though she had no idea exactly what to expect.

I’m just so proud to be her mom and can’t wait to see what she accomplishes next on her journey.
